Capital Campaign
Soldiers of Honor is a faith-based boxing gym which has been called to serve the discouraged and at-risk in Lima, Ohio. At-risk children of broken homes are a priority among those that experience encouragement and transformation in our program. Although some agencies target at-risk children, none are using the relational connection, mental strengthening, and physical discipline that boxing brings. We are a unique organization that uses boxing as a means to develop and grow our adolescents.
At present, Soldiers of Honor is working to carry out this mission of transformation through boxing bootcamps which are six-week programs designed to strengthen the participants mentally, physically and spiritually. Our goal is to continue to provide a high quality facility that allows participants to experience physical fitness activities that enhance their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual quality of life.
To that end, we am pleased to announce that we are in the midst of a Capital Campaign to begin renovations to our facility. The renovation will be completed in phases which include:
Phase 1
Amount needed: $37,500
Date of completion: April 1, 2020
- Façade Improvements: Prep; tear down, & clear out un- needed equipment, and first and second floor window installation.
Phase 2
Amount needed: $37,500
Date of completion: June 1, 2020
- Interior Remodel of First Floor: providing seating, restroom facilities and office space.
Phase 3
All dollars carried over will go towards our second-floor renovation project.
We are excited to enter this new season through the launching of this Capital Campaign. We believe that a campaign of this nature will allow us to serve more participants and enhance other services that we provide. It is our hope that you are just as excited to help us enter into this new season. Despite all of our enthusiasm and the firm belief that Christ is moving in our city, we recognize that we cannot meet all of these goals on our own. We are asking for your help.
Our goal in order to begin the first phase of these improvements is to raise $37,500. To help us meet this goal we are asking that you join us by becoming a Soldiers of Honor donor.
We are asking that you consider supporting Soldiers of Honor as a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Partner:
Bronze: $1,000
Silver: $2,000
Gold: $5,000
Platinum: $10,000 or more
Donations of any amount will be highlighted in our annual report which is available via our website, and social media platforms. Bronze and Silver donors will have their name or organization name featured on our donor board displayed inside the gym. Gold donors, in addition to being mentioned in our annual report and featured on our donor board will also be featured on our “Golden Gloves Partners” banner to be displayed inside our gym. Platinum donors in addition to being mentioned in our annual report, featured on our donor board and “Golden Gloves Partners” banner, will also receive their name featured on the exterior of the building.
